Visit Mahigajanarama Temple (Pohaddaramulla )

Step into centuries of spiritual heritage at the Mahigajanarama Temple, a sacred site over 700 years old, dating back to the reign of King Pathis II. The temple grounds host incredible replicas such as the 72-foot Polonnaruwa Rock Temple and a 52-foot Parinirvana Manchaka statue depicting the Buddha’s final moments. Visitors can admire the stupa built in 1815 using traditional adobe techniques and observe murals from the Nuwara era.
